Free Seats for Kids on Malaysia Airlines Purchase one seat and receive a complimentary seat for your young flyer


Plan a trip with your whole family as Malaysia Airlines introduces the ‘Kids Fly For Free’ promotion. Starting from 11 to 20 May 2013, customers will receive a complimentary seat for one child aged below 12 when purchasing a seat in Economy Class.

This promotion is valid for immediate travel until 31 May 2013 on all international and domestic sectors except Kuala Lumpur – Kathmandu, Kuala Lumpur – Mumbai, Kuala Lumpur – Chennai, Kuala Lumpur – Bangalore.

Regional Senior Vice President, Malaysia & ASEAN, Muzammil Mohamad said, “This is our first time having a kids-fly-for-free promotion—we are really excited to tie in the campaign with the coming school holidays end of the month. We hope customers can take advantage of this campaign and start planning for a family vacation to our international destinations”.

“We also want families to have the best-time on-board. With our enhanced products and services, our customers and their children will get to enjoy these facilities while being served with unrivalled Malaysian Hospitality when they fly with Malaysia Airlines,” he added.

Customers can book their trip on the brand-new Airbus A380 to London, Paris or Hong Kong and experience the highest standards of comfort, luxury and amenities on these routes. The ‘Sky Squad Kids Tour’ (only available on London and Paris flights on the A380) leaves parents free to some in-flight entertainment on-board whilst children will be taken to a guided-tour on the superjumbo by the airlines’ award-winning cabin crew.

Young flyers will definitely work up an appetite during those long-haul flights. Parents can pre-order their children's meals at least 24 hours prior to their flight. The airlines' special Child's Meal is nutritionally designed for children aged two to five and the exact meal served depends on the flight sector. The array of delicious Child's Meal may include Omelette and Sausage, Breakfast Burger, Berry Hot Cakes, Spaghetti Meatballs, Chicken Lasagna and Pizza Duo.

Besides that, customers in Economy Class can now enjoy 30kg of baggage allowance. Parents and children can pack their favourite things and bring home travel souvenirs for more.

Meanwhile, MASholidays, Malaysia Airlines’ travel arm is also offering a fun-filled family package from now until 20 May 2013. From only RM1800, treat your family to a 4D/3N Hong Kong & Hong Kong Disneyland Tour and receive a free ground tour package for one child with every purchase of two adult holidays

The package includes all-inclusive return Economy Class air ticket, hotel accommodation at selected three to four star hotels on twin-sharing basis, tours and transfer (where applicable and as specified in the itinerary) and entry passes to Hong Kong Disneyland.

Adults will get to enjoy sight-seeing and shopping areas such as Repulse Bay, Aberdeen Fishing Village and Bauhinia Square, with additional places to visit like the Jewellery Factory and Ginseng Shop.

This package is valid for immediate travel until 30 September 2013.

Malaysia Airlines worked with a local children's book writer/ illustrator, Emila Yusof, for the artwork featured in the ‘Free Seats for Kids' campaign which can be seen throughout all the national carrier's advertising collaterals. Emila's portfolio includes covers for children novels from Alia Nina like 'Ke Mana Perginya?', ' Di Mana Ibu Saya?' and also her very own book, 'My Mother's Garden".

Customers can avail the ‘Free Seats for Kids’ promotion at the nearest Malaysia Airlines ticket office, participating travel agents or call 1 300 88 3000 (in Malaysia). This promotion is not available online and not applicable on promotional fares, peak periods, demand flights and subject to seat availability.
