Reduced Ground Transport at Heathrow, London Malaysia Airlines alerts passengers to make adequate alternative arrangements

Malaysia Airlines wishes to notify its passengers travelling to London that public transport operators in Heathrow will be running reduced timetables, particularly on Christmas Day and Boxing Day.

Tomorrow, on Christmas Day (25 December), most public transport systems (bus/underground/train) to and from Heathrow are closed or will be operating a very limited service. The rail service by Heathrow Express and Connect Services will not be available due to Network Rail engineering works. Taxis will be operating at each Terminal but queues are likely, except for pre-booked services
The next day, on 26 December, the rail connectivity by Heathrow Express and Connect Services will not be available due to engineering works. London Underground’s scheduled reduced service may also be affected by industrial action. Bus services will be operating special schedules. Taxis will be operating at all Terminals.

Malaysia Airlines passengers from Kuala Lumpur arriving in London on 25 and 26 December 2012 are encouraged to check updates of the Heathrow ground transport situation at the following weblink: http://www.heathrowairport.com/transport-and-directions/christmas-and-new-year-travel

Passengers terminating their journeys in London and using public transport are therefore advised to plan in advance for alternative ground arrangements to their final destinations in the United Kingdom.

Malaysia Airlines flies twice daily to London from Kuala Lumpur. Flight MH4 departs KLIA at 10.45am daily and arrives London Heathrow the same day at 4.15 pm while flight MH 2 departs KLIA at 11.40pm and arrives in London at 5.50am the following day.
